A Seat at the Table
To fuel collaboration and ensure CFTEH’s voice and priorities are well represented at decision-making tables, CFTEH staff currently serve on the following boards and advisory committees:
Chicago Continuum of Care (CoC) Board of Directors and Executive Committee
A local planning body mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that is responsible for planning a coordinated and comprehensive approach to providing housing and services for people experiencing homelessness.
Illinois Community Advisory Council on Homelessness
Provides guidance and recommendations to the Illinois Interagency Task Force on the strategy and implementation of the Home Illinois Plan. The Advisory Council includes representatives of rural, urban, and suburban communities.
One System Initiative Leadership Team
A partnership between the city and state to create one unified homelessness response system by integrating the response systems for people experiencing homelessness and new arrivals. See recommendations here.
Illinois Racial Equity Roundtable on Latine Homelessness
Uniting Latine service providers, advocates, community leaders, and individuals with lived experience of homelessness to advise on the development of Illinois' first-ever statewide report on Latine homelessness.
Strategic Advisory Committee
Advising the development of Chicago’s Five-Year Blueprint to prevent and end homelessness with key city departments and sister agencies, an advocacy partner, an affordable housing developer, a service provider, a researcher, and other key systems partners.
