As Chicago’s only funder collaborative focused on homelessness, CFTEH operates at the nexus of expertise and influence. We align partners, funding, and strategies across sectors to amplify impact and advance change.

What is a funder collaborative?

A group of funders who come together to make a collective impact on an area of shared interest.

After a number of years of collaboration, CFTEH was formally established in 2020 by a small group of Chicago-area foundations, built on the idea that funders are more powerful when they work together. 

Since 2020, Michael Reese Health Trust has served as the home base and fiscal sponsor for CFTEH, providing essential administrative, operational, and financial support to the collaborative.

CFTEH is a local network of the national Funders Together for Housing Justice.
